Dr. Brian Phan was born in Louisiana and primarily raised in Southern California. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine. During college, he served as a camp counselor for CampMed, an organization dedicated to introducing students from underserved communities to careers in health professions. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from University of California, Berkeley, where he also served as President of his school’s private practice club.
Dr. Phan completed his clinical training at UC Berkeley’s Eye Center, Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, UCSF Ophthalmology, Marin Community Clinics, and the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. He is passionate about delivering thoughtful, evidence-based eye care with an emphasis on exceptional patient experiences. His professional interests include primary eye care, pediatric eye care, ocular disease management, and dry eye management.
Outside of the office, Dr. Phan enjoys spending time with loved ones, supporting small businesses, being in nature, and cheering on his favorite professional and collegiate sports teams.
